Wadena County, MN : Man killed in Wadena County crash on Thursday, 4th March 2021

A Champlin man died Thursday afternoon after crash east of Detroit Lakes.

A Minnesota State Patrol crash report states, at about 2:30 p.m., a Chevrolet Tracker was headed north on Highway 71 in Blueberry Township. Near 378th Street, it crossed over the center line and into the southbound lanes, where it struck a construction tractor.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as a 34-year-old Champlin man, was killed in the crash. The driver of the tractor wasn't injured.

The victim's name will be released at a later time.

The crash remains under investigation.
