MISHAWAKA, IN : 19-year-old bicyclist killed in Mishawaka hit-and-run crash on Tuesday, 13th February 2024

Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who allegedly struck and killed a bicyclist on Tuesday morning in Mishawaka.

Officers were called just after 6:15 a.m. to the 1100 block of E. 12th Street for a crash involving a car and a bicycle. They say the suspect vehicle had left the scene and the bicyclist, identified as 19-year-old Varinder Singh, was dead.

According to police, Singh was heading west on E. 12th Street when he was struck by a blue or dark colored Chevrolet SUV.

The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team (FACT) is handling the investigation. If you have any information regarding the suspect vehicle, you’re asked to call Commander Tim Spencer at 574-235-9871 extension 6441.
