Helper, UT : Man killed in crash near border of Utah and Carbon counties on Friday, July 29, 2016

A crash near the border of Carbon and Utah counties left one man dead Friday.

The crash occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on an unnamed dirt road off of Emma Park Road about 15 miles north of Helper, Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon said.

The man, from Utah, was driving at the time of the crash, Cannon said. His vehicle crashed into another vehicle that was "side by side" with his, according to the sergeant.

The man's name and age were not immediately released.

A passenger in the fatal victim's car suffered minor injuries.

No other information about the crash was available as of 10 p.m. Friday.
