IRON COUNTY, MO : Pedestrian hit killed in Iron County on Tuesday, 5th March 2024

Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian in Iron County on Tuesday night, March 5.

The crash happened around 8:25 p.m. on Missouri 72, approximately 1 mile east of Arcadia.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an SUV traveling eastbound hit a pedestrian in the roadway.

The pedestrian, identified by MSHP, 33-year-old Michael D. Stirts III, died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
