WINTER HAVEN, FL : Man killed in Polk County crash between motorcycle and pickup truck on Saturday, 16th November 2024

A man was killed after a crash between a motorcycle and pickup truck in Winter Haven, officials say.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said the collision happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Cypress Gardens Boulevard SE and Cypress Gardens Road.

A 46-year-old Babson Park man, who was reportedly heading east on the boulevard on a 2004 Harley-Davidson, started to approach a red light at the intersection. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman who was driving a 2015 Ford F-150, was stopped at a light facing Cypress Gardens Road North.
