Tallahassee,FL : Two dead after car splits in half on Semoran Boulevard on June, Wednesday 28th 2017

Two men died Tuesday night after a crash on Semoran Boulevard near Baldwin Park and a third was critically injured, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened about 8:05 p.m. near North Semoran Boulevard and Hanging Moss Road and involved two cars, said Highway Patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes.

One of the vehicles involved — a Honda Civic — was split in two in the crash. The two people who died were in the Honda, which had its front separated from the back.

The Honda had been headed south on North Semoran Boulevard when the driver tried to make a left turn into the Wal-Mart parking lot at 2271 N. Semoran Blvd.

That’s when the car came into the direct path of a four-door Ford Fusion sedan, driven by 18-year-old Dalton White, of Orlando.

The Ford struck the right side of the Honda, which ultimately split into two pieces.

Two men inside the Honda were taken to Winter Park Memorial Hospital, where they were pronounced dead from their injuries, Montes said.

They were identified as 37-year-old Joseph Masseria from Winter Park and 37-year0old Gary Maharaj from Orlando, Montes said.

Medics took Claudette Rambissoon, 37, of Sanford, from the Honda to Orlando Regional Medical Center as a “trauma alert,” which typically indicates a patient has life-threatening injuries. She was last listed in critical condition.

The name of the driver has not been released.
