Live Oak, FL : Ryan Patrick Leverenz, 22, died after a crash on Interstate 10 on Monday, June 6, 2016

Ryan Patrick Leverenz, 22, of Bradenton, died after a crash on Interstate 10 that happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at mile marker 288 in the eastbound lane. The left rear tire blew out, causing the 2008 Pontiac Levering was riding in to travel out of control off the south side of the road, according to the FHP report. It then rotated clockwise into a ditch and overturned several times.

Leverenz was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, the report states. He was found by Emergency Medical Services and taken to Shands Live Oak Hospital and was pronounced deceased at 9:15 p.m., according to the report.

Mitchell David Thompson, 22, was driving the vehicle, the report states. He told FHP that the vehicle suddenly felt unsteady and he was unable to control it according to the report. Thompson received only minor injuries. He was wearing his seat belt.
