Renville, MN : Two injured in Renville County crash on Tuesday night, February 21, 2017
Two people were injured Tuesday night in a single-vehicle accident south of Renville when their vehicle was launched through the air and landed in a field after the driver failed to stop at a "T" intersection.
According to the Renville County Sheriff's office, the accident happened at around 8:54 p.m. at the intersection of county roads 6 and 4, approximately 8 miles south of Renville in Flora Township.
Dale Dylan Dunlap, 24, of Aurora, South Dakota, was driving west on Renville County Road 4 but failed to stop at the intersection and the vehicle hit the ditch of County Road 6 at about 60 miles an hour.
The vehicle was launched in the air and came to rest in a plowed field.
Dunlap and a passenger, Ashley Elaine Hellwinckel, 24, of Aurora, were taken by ambulance to the Renville County Hospital. They were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The Renville County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation.
