Two other cheerleaders in the car were transported to nearby hospitals, the Rockford Register Star & The Journal-Standard reported.
The girl who died was identified as Emily Fleming, 17. No other identities were released by late Saturday.
The Friday night game at Stillman Valley High School, with an enrollment of about 580, was postponed.
Witnesses said the car carrying the cheerleaders appeared to have run a stop sign and collided with the truck.
The pickup erupted in flames, authorities said, and both vehicles ended up in a soybean field.
