Rapid City, SD : Box Elder man arrested after crash with school bus in Rapid City on Wednesday morning, November 5, 2014
A few Rapid City-area students suffered minor injuries when the school bus they were in was rear-ended in Rapid Valley.
The bus had stopped Wednesday morning to pick up students when it was rear-ended by a sport utility vehicle. The SUV driver left the scene.
There were 39 students on the bus. Superintendent Tim Mitchell says three students went with their parents after the incident and the rest went to school, where four reported aches and pains.
A police officer later stopped the SUV. The 34-year-old Box Elder man who was driving was arrested on several charges including driving under the influence and driving under suspension.
