St. Petersburg , FL : Linda Jean Guess, 50, dead and Patrick Sean Feeley, 52, injured in single-vehicle motorcycle crash on 54th Ave. North in St. Petersburg on Saturday, November 22, 2014

A 50-year-old Bay area woman was ejected from a motorcycle following a crash in St. Petersburg early Saturday. Linda Jean Guess of Palmetto was transported to Bayfront Medical Center, where she died Saturday afternoon, the St. Petersburg Police Department said. According to a St. Petersburg police report, Guess and the driver of the 2014 Harley Davidson – Patrick Sean Feeley of St. Petersburg – were not wearing helmets. The incident occurred just before 2 am on 54th Ave. North, just east of 16th St. North. The report states Feeley, 52, was traveling east when he failed to negotiate a slight bend in the roadway. The motorcycle struck a curb, Feeley lost control and the bike went down on its right side. The vehicle slid and struck a road sign before coming to a stop. The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The official cause of the crash is not yet known as the investigation continues.
