Marianna, FL : Grand Ridge man killed in head-on crash on State 71 on Tuesday morning, April 5, 2016

A Grand Ridge man was killed in a Jackson County head-on crash Tuesday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
James E. Baughman, 46, was pronounced dead at about 10:20 a.m. following the crash, FHP reported.
Baughman was driving south on State 71 in a 2000 Ford F-150 moments before the crash. Mark Michael Guerra, 44, and a passenger, 44-year-old Mark Edward Smith, both of Sneads, were traveling north on State 71, pulling a trailer with a 2005 Ford F-250, officials wrote in the release.
FHP reported Baughman veered across the center line, entering the path of the other vehicle. The two trucks careened head on with one another, FHP reported.
Baughman continued to travel in a southerly direction and traveled off the paved portion of the roadway before coming to final rest on the east shoulder of State 71.
Guerra and Smith did not suffer injuries in the wreck, FHP reported, and declined to be taken to a hospital.
