Lanexa woman was killed in a wreck on Rochambeau

A 31-year-old Lanexa woman was killed early Tuesday morning in a wreck on Rochambeau Drive.

Jennifer Lynn Renfro, 31, of 13900 block Cypress Drive, was driving a 2001 Honda Accord and traveling northbound on Rochambeau Drive near Mooretown Road at about 12:30 a.m. at a high rate of speed when she lost control and struck a tree, according to Virginia State Police news release.

Renfro was taken to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center where she later died from her injuries, the news release said.

State police have determined Renfro was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, but it is unknown if alcohol played a part in the crash, the release said.
