Findlay,OH : Tiffin Ave. rollover crash injures man on May, Thursday 17th 2018

A Findlay man was injured when his truck rolled after a collision at 7:46 a.m. Thursday at Tiffin Avenue and Woodworth Drive, the Findlay Police Department reported.

Police said Joshua C. Elchert, 33, of Findlay, was northbound on Woodworth Drive in a 2017 Ram 1500 truck when he failed to yield as he crossed Tiffin Avenue. His truck was hit by a 2007 Subaru Forester driven by Alvera M. Sams, 82, of Findlay, who was westbound on Tiffin Avenue, police said.

After being hit on the right side, the Ram spun, hit a curb and a stop sign, then rolled onto its roof, police said.

Elchert was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco EMS with minor injuries, police said. Sams was not injured, police said.

Elchert was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign, police said.

Dick’s Towing and the Findlay Fire Department assisted at the accident scene.
