Jericho, VT : Two people injured after a two car, head-on crash on Route 117 on Friday, February 3, 2017

Police are investigating a two car, head-on crash that occurred on Route 117 at about 3 p.m. Friday.

Police said Aubrey Moon, aged 27, of Williston, was driving a silver Ford Taurus westbound when she was distracted while adjusting the heat and crossed the center line. Her car struck a gray Ford F-150 head driven by Morgan Adams, 35, of Waterbury, who was traveling eastbound.

Both Moon and Adams were transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for further evaluation of their injuries. Moon, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered a compound fracture of her left leg, and possible concussion. Adams, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered contusions to his left leg, and bumps and bruises.

Both vehicles were considered a total loss. Neither speed nor impairment were contributing factors. At the time, it was snowing and the road was covered with snow and slush.
