AIKEN, SC : Aiken County Coroner's Office investigating accident on Saturday, 5th August 2023

The Aiken County Coroner's Office is investigating a accident that left one victim dead.

Officials say it was a single vehicle accident that occurred in the 700 block of Ascauga Lake Rd.

The driver, a Newberry man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say his vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.

The victim will be identified once his family has been notified.
