Aurora, CO : Two people killed, one injured when SUV rear-ends sedan, collides with pickup in northeast Aurora on Tuesday, March 10, 2015

Authorities say two people were killed when a sedan and a pickup were struck by a sport-utility vehicle in Aurora.

Police say the SUV rear-ended the sedan, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with the pickup at about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Police Lt. Michael McClelland says a 45-year-old woman driving the sedan and a 60-year-old man driving the pickup were killed.

McClelland says a 30-year-old man driving the SUV was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No names have been released.

McClelland says investigators believe alcohol and excessive speed were factors in the crash.
