Lake City, FL : Wellborn man dies in one-vehicle accident in Columbia County on Wednesday afternoon, August 31, 2016

A one-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Columbia County ended in the death of a Wellborn man, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

James Elden Tullis, 52, of Wellborn, was westbound on US Highway 90 when the vehicle he was driving lost control on the wet road, the report states.

According to the report, the vehicle traveled off the road, overturned and struck a tree.

Tullis was pronounced deceased on the scene, the report states.
