TV reporter injured by wrecked car during storm coverage

A Charlotte television reporter is recovering in the hospital after she was hit by a vehicle during coverage of Wednesday night's severe weather.
Reporter Caroline Vandergriff, from Time Warner Cable's News 14, was reportedly shooting video of downed power lines at the intersection of East Morehead Street and Kenilworth Avenue in Charlotte.
That's when two vehicles collided at the
intersection . One of the vehicles hit Vandergriff, who was standing nearby.
At the time of the wreck, the traffic lights were malfunctioning due to power outages from the storm.
She was taken to Carolinas Medical Center where she was last listed in stable condition.her.
