KIOWA COUNTY, KS : Kansas woman killed in US 54 crash east of Greensburg on Wednesday, 17th February 2021

A Haviland woman was killed in Kiowa County Wednesday after her car collided into semi.

Just before 2:30 p.m. at the 111.6 mile mile marker, east of Greensburg, 37-year-old Jordan Stauth was traveling in a Buick Enclave, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Stauth crossed the eastbound lane onto the eastbound shoulder and collided head on with an eastbound Kenworth semi.

Stuath was pronounced dead.

The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries.

U.S. 54 between Greensburg and Pratt was closed as KHP investigated the scene, but the highway has seen been reopened.
