BOCA RATON, FL : FHP ID’s Broward man killed in I-95 tractor-trailer wreck in Boca on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016

A Fort Lauderdale man was killed Wednesday morning on Interstate 95 after he drove his vehicle into the path of an oncoming tractor trailer, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Jeffrey Scott Kaiser was stopped on the east shoulder of northbound I-95 near Glades Road when he moved his 2001 Nissan Sentra into the travel lanes. The Nissan was struck on its left side by the front of a tractor trailer driven by Trevor Roy Thompson, of Margate.

Kaiser, 28, died at the scene.

Thompson, 70, was not injured.

A toxicology report on Kaiser is pending, the FHP said.

Original story: An early-morning fatal crash was slowing the Wednesday commute on northbound Interstate 95 in Boca Raton.

The wreck, involving a tractor-trailer, happened at the Glades Road exit.
