Wahiawa , HI : 54-year-old Mililani driver died after crashing into parked cars on Saturday Morning ,January 17h 2015

A 54-year-old Mililani driver died Saturday morning after crashing into parked cars in Wahiawa.

Honolulu police say the man was driving at about 12:55 a.m. and lost control on Wilikina Drive near McCornack Road.

Police say excessive speed likely was a factor in the crash.

The man's vehicle hit four parked cars and overturned. The driver was ejected. He was taken in critical condition to a hospital, where he died.

The traffic fatality is Oahu's eighth this year.

Two people were in one of the parked cars.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (http://bit.ly/1AwDEFy) reports a 26-year-old Waianae woman was injured and taken to a hospital in good condition.

A 21-year-old Wahiawa man was not injured.
