Kennett Township, PA : Coatesville man killed in three-vehicle crash in the area of 323 Kennett Pike on Saturday, 21st July 2018

A Coatesville man was killed in a violent three-vehicle crash Saturday on Kennett Pike, officials said.

According to Kennett Township police, the accident occurred at 2:10 p.m. in the area of 323 Kennett Pike.

Police said William Reeves, 70, of Coatesville, was traveling north on Kennett Pike in a 2006 Dodge Caravan when his vehicle was struck by a 2007 Jeep Liberty operated by Jake Galante, 19, of Lincoln University. Witnesses reported that the vehicle operated by Galante sideswiped a vehicle operated by Carol Roman of Asbury, N.J., traveling north on Kennett Pike before traveling into the oncoming lane, striking the Reeves vehicle head-on, police said.

Reeves was pronounced dead on the scene. Galante was treated at Jennersville Hospital for minor injuries. Roman was not injured.
