Houston, TX : Sheriff's deputy injured in crash in Harris County on Tuesday, November 15th 2016
A Harris County sheriff's deputy is in the hospital after a pickup driver hit the driver's side of his patrol car near Crosby, in the northeast part of the county.
About 9:45 p.m. Tuesday a woman tried to enter the northbound lanes of a two-way street from the center turn lane, according to police. Her red Chevy pickup struck the deputy's marked cruiser traveling on FM 2100 (Crosby-Lynchburg Road).
The deputy's cruiser flipped over onto a grassy area along the road, according to Harris County sheriff's deputy Paul Begley. The impact crumpled the vehicle's windshield and mangled the driver's side door.
