JACKSONVILLE, FL : A 71-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash on April, Tuesday 25th 2017

A 71-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash Tuesday afternoon on Beach Boulevard at Forest Boulevard, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

A car was traveling west on Beach Boulevard about 1 p.m. when the driver attempted to turn left at the intersection and entered the path of the motorcyclist who was eastbound in the middle lane of Beach Boulevard, police said.

Higinio Gonzalez was thrown from the motorcycle and was taken to UF Health Jacksonville, where he died.
