KINGSPORT, TX : Motorist wrecks at Walmart after fleeing Kingsport police on Monday, 30th July 2018

What should have been a routine traffic stop Monday escalated to felony charges against a Kingsport woman, according to police, after she sped away and crashed up an embankment, hitting two cars outside the Lynn Garden Walmart.The incident occurred at about 7:40 a.m. Records at the Kingsport Police Department state that on Lynn Garden Drive near Mull Street, an officer tried to stop a southbound Chrysler van. It was reportedly traveling 55 mph in a 40 mph zone.
