A 27-year-old West Chester man wearing only shorts Friday ran wildly onto Interstate 75 trying to dive under trucks before being struck dead, witnesses told police.

West Chester Police dispatchers released 911 calls from frantic witnesses who reported a shirtless and shoe-less man -- wearing only camouflage shorts -- running down entrance and exit ramps to I-75 at the Tylersville Road interchange in Butler County.

Butler County's coroner has identified the man as Timothy A. Tzeiranakis, 27, of Gregory Creek Lane of West Chester.

Coroner Lisa Mannix noted that Tzeiranakis was pronounced dead primarily from "multiple traumatic injuries" at 9:40 a.m. Friday.

He suffered his injuries at the 22.5 mile marker of northbound I-75, according to the coroner's report.

There has been no official ruling on his death as both the coroner and Ohio State Highway Patrol's investigation continues.
