Conklin, NY : Bicyclist injured in a crash near US-59 and Shaw Road on Monday, 17th September 2018

A New York bicyclist was injured in an accident with a car Monday morning near US-59 and Shaw Road.
Jon Hansen, 76, Montgomery, NY, was flown from the scene to Freeman Hospital in Joplin after the accident at 11:30 am Monday south of Shaw Road on US-59.
Hansen was southbound in front of a 2000 Nissan driving southbound by Kathryn White, 35, Girard. Hansen attempted to make a left turn into the rest area, when White’s car collided with him in the northbound lane.
Neither White nor a passenger in her vehicle were injured. White was cited for illegal passing.
A spokesperson at Freeman said Hansen was transported to another hospital, but didn’t know which one and was unsure about his condition.
