Sorrento, LA : Two people killed and another seriously injured in car crash near Sorrento on Wednesday night, February 3, 2016

Louisiana State Police is investigating a deadly car crash near Sorrento Wednesday night.

Trooper First Class Bryan Lee said that speed may be a factor in the deadly single-vehicle crash that happened on I-10 at milepost 185.

Troopers said two people were killed and another was seriously injured in the crash.

According to DOTD, there was congestion on I-10 East from past LA 22 (Sorrento) to Mile Marker 185 due to the accident. Traffic cleared up around 9 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
