Danville,WV : Boone County teenager killed in crash; one arrested on May,Saturday 26th 2018

One Boone County teen is dead and another arrested after a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred overnight Saturday.

According to an email from Boone County Chief Deputy Chad Barker, the crash happened on the old Hobet Mining property near Danville.

Barker said Sunday the 17-year-old male, a Scott High School student, was a passenger in the vehicle involved in the crash. His name is being withheld at this time out of respect for the family, Barker added.

Sheriff's deputies responding to the crash arrested the driver of the vehicle, Dylan Levi Price, 19, of Julian, and charged him at the scene with DUI (driving under the influence) causing death.

The accident is still under investigation, Barker said.

Price has one prior arrest for DUI from 2017 that is still pending in Logan County Magistrate Court.
