NASHVILLE, TN : Bell Road reopens after crash at the intersection of Bell Road and Mt. View Road on Tuesday, 22nd January 2019

A crash with critical injuries closed a portion of Bell Road Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Bell Road and Mt. View Road around 5:45 a.m.

The driver of a sedan had to be extricated from the vehicle after it was involved in a crash with a semi-truck.

Metro police told News 2 a woman was driving with two children in the car at the time of the crash. The children have only minor injuries while the woman was taken to an area hospital in with critical injuries that are non-life threatening.

The roadway reopened to traffic around 7:15 a.m.

No additional information was immediately released.
