Hamden, CT :Man injured in one-car wreck Wednesday, July 1st 2015
A Sidney man was airlifted to Albany Medical Center on Wednesday after he suffered a medical emergency and drove his car off of a Hamden road, according to a Delaware County official.The accident occurred at about 5 p.m. across from the New Holland dealership on state Route 10 in Hamden, Delaware County Undersheriff Craig DuMond said Wednesday night. After suffering a diabetic emergency, the driver of the vehicle drove his car off of the right hand side of the road, and his vehicle flew off of a 20-foot retaining wall. The individual was then airlifted to Albany, but DuMond said his injuries did not appear to be serious. Sheriff's deputies are waiting to release the name of the individual until they notify his family, he said. More information will be available Thursday.
