MYAKKA CITY, FL : Driver hits car head-on in an attempt to pass others, says FHP on Monday, November 28th 2016
Three people were seriously injured after a crash on State Road 70 in Myakka City early Monday.
Around 7:07 a.m., a person driving a white 2014 Jaguar was driving eastbound on State Road 70 when they attempted to pass the car in front of them, according to Florida Highway Patrol trooper Ken Watson. Two cars, a white 2004 Honda and a white 2008 Nissan Altima, were in the westbound lane.
The driver of the Jaguar hit the driver of the Honda head-on, and the Nissan hit the Honda from behind, according to Watson.
One person was airlifted to Manatee Memorial Hospital, while the other drivers were taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.
