A morning crash in Clay County Friday left one man dead, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said 23-year-old Richard Rooker III of Green Cove Springs, died after crashing his motorcycle into the back of a pickup truck on U.S. 17 at State Road 16.FHP said it appears the motorcylclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and was not able to slow down for stopped traffic.
