Lawrence, MA : Two killed another was seriously injured in a rollover crash at Route 495 On Saturday, July 9th, 2016

Two men were killed and one was seriously injured in an early-morning rollover crash.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash on Route 495 south in Lawrence at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 22-year-old Lawrence man was driving a car at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate the curve of the highway off-ramp. The car went off an embankment and rolled over.

The driver, whom police haven’t identified, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say two passengers, 23-year-old Alexander Castro, of Salem, and 26-year-old Wilbert Munoz, of Lawrence, were killed in the crash. Castro died at the hospital from his injuries. Munoz was pronounced dead at the

scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
