LINCOLN, NE : Nebraska City man dies in Lincoln crash on Nebraska Highway 2 on Thursday, 14th February 2019

Authorities say a Nebraska City resident was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident in Lincoln.

The crash occurred around 9:35 a.m. Thursday on Nebraska Highway 2. Police say a westbound sport utility vehicle rammed into the rear of a semitrailer that had halted.The dead SUV driver has been identified as 79-year-old Thomas F. Funke, the father of Nebraska Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Funke.

Police say the truck driver wasn't injured.
