Columbia, SC : Officers release picture of car connected to school bus hit-and-run on September 16 2016

The Columbia Police Department is releasing surveillance pictures of a car they say could possibly be connected to a hit and run collision that happened earlier this week.

The hit-and-run happened on Wednesday at the intersection of South Beltline Boulevard and Rosewood Drive. Officers say the car wanted in connection to the hit-and-run may have damage to the right passenger’s side.

Officers say the collision was considered to be minor, however, 27 Dreher High School students were on the bus at the time. Eight of those students were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, according to Richland School District One officials.
