Taunton, MA : North Dighton woman killed in car crash in Taunton on Saturday night, June 18, 2016

A 19-year-old woman from North Dighton died of injuries she sustained when the car she drove on Winthrop Street in Taunton hit a utility pole.

The crash happened during Saturday night’s waning minutes, around 11:48 p.m., according to police reports.
Erin E. Noble, 233 Andrews St., North Dighton, was killed. She was the only occupant of the 2001 green Honda Accord. The crash happened near 347 Winthrop St., near Biltmore Street and Dexter Farms Road, said police.

Taunton police at the accident scene called for the Taunton Fire Department to bring the Jaws of Life to extricate Noble from the car, at 11:57 p.m.

A police accident reconstruction team was notified around the same time the police report lists the crash as a fatality: 12:35 a.m.

State police said Noble’s car was removed from the crash site by a Freetown tow company.
