A Chiloquin woman died and a toddler was seriously injured Sunday after a crash south of Crater Lake in southern Oregon, officials said.
Oregon State Police troopers responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Oregon 62 and 422 about 4:10 p.m. Sunday. Michelle Rose Cirrito, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Oregon State Police, Cirrito was headed south in a 2007 Toyota Camry on Oregon 62 when it collided with a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta that was pulling out from Oregon 422. Both vehicles rolled over after the crash.
A toddler found in Cirrito's car was taken to Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls for treatment of serious injuries.
A 17-year-old girl driving a second car was also taken to Sky Lakes Medical Center to be treated for her injuries.
The crash investigation is ongoing. More details will be released when they become available.
