Yakima,WA : Two injured in multi-car crash on June, Monday 19th 2017

Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a chain-reaction crash involving six vehicles on West Wapato Road.


The crash happened shortly before 2 p.m. as Sheila A. Dietzen, 81, of Yakima was eastbound in a Honda Odyssey, which rear-ended a second vehicle setting off a chain reaction, according to the Washington State Patrol.


Dietzen and one other driver, Tara M. Johnson, 36 of Tigard, Ore., were injured. Both were taken to Virginia Mason Memorial hospital, where they were treated and released.

Dietzen was cited for failure to yield right-of-way, the patrol said.
