Three people were injured when a tractor trailer collided with two passenger vehicles on Tuesday morning, township police said.
A 71-year-old Pennsylvania man was driving a Volvo tractor trailer westbound on Route 322 near Interstate 295 shortly before 9 a.m. when the driver lost control and entered the eastbound lane, authorities reported.
His truck collided with a Chrysler minivan, a Nissan Sentra and a utility pole before stopping in a farm field. The minivan overturned and came to rest in the field. The Nissan suffered major front-end damage.
Drivers had to be extricated from both passenger vehicles and all three motorists were transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pennsylvania, for treatment. All injuries appeared non-life-threatening, police said. There were no passengers in any of the vehicles.
