MUSKEGON, MI : Pedestrian in critical condition after hit and run crash on Saturday, January 28th 2017
One man is in critical condition and another is in jail after an alleged hit and run crash.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, a 30-year-old Muskegon Township man was driving northbound on Chandler Street, north of Apple Avenue, in Egelston Township when he struck a pedestrian in the roadway. A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a 2006 Ford F-150 fled after striking a 21-year-old Egelston Township man, who was transported to Hackley Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Michigan State Police located the driver and arrested him. The suspect was lodged in Muskegon County for hit and run causing serious injury.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Assisting at the crash scene were the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department, Egelston Fire Department and Pro-Med ambulance.
