Okeechobee County , FL :Victim in fatal Okeechobee County truck crash ID'd on Thursday , June 25th 2015

The driver of the tractor-trailer who was killed in a crash in Okeechobee County early this morning was identified as Oscar Armando Medrano, 51, of Kissimmee,WPTV reports that the truck was traveling south on U.S. 441 when it veered off the road, struck a tree and overturned, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.It burst into flames when it rolled near Northeast 131st Lane, WPTV said. Medrano was pronounced dead at the scene.Traffic investigators told WPTV it's unclear what caused the truck to veer off the road.Original story:One person is dead after a tractor-trailer crash in Okeechobee County Thursday morning, according to our news partners at WPTV News Channel 5.WPTV reports that the truck "caught fire during a wreck on U.S. 441 near NE 131st Lane."
