Delaware Township, NJ : Delaware man died after struck by car on Route 23’Panhandle Road on Tuesday February 16 2016

A Delaware man died Tuesday, Feb. 16, after a car struck him while he was attempting to cross U.S. Route 23 in Delaware Township.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Delaware post, a car struck John E. Butsko, 56, shortly after 10:45 p.m. while he was walking east across the northbound lanes of Route 23. The crash occurred near Route 23’s intersection with Panhandle Road.
Officials with the Delaware County Coroner’s Office pronounced Butsko dead at the scene of the crash. The car’s driver and a passenger were not injured.
The northbound lanes of Route 23 were closed for about two hours in the area after the crash.
