Baltimore County, MD : Motorist Killed, Bicyclist injured in Separate Baltimore County incidents on Sunday, June 8, 2014

A motorist was killed and a bicyclist was seriously injured in separate Baltimore County incidents, police said.

Police did not give the time of the accidents but reported both early Sunday.

The fatal crash involved a single vehicle leaving the road at Bellona Avenue and Charles Street in Towson, police said. The driver, later identified as John Kelly, of the 400 block of Venable Ave. in Baltimore, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bicyclist was struck by another motorist at the corner of Back River Neck Road and Poles Road in Essex, police said. The victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries.

Police did not identify the bicyclist.
