Jackson, MS : Teen killed in Raymond Road crash on Friday night, October 24, 2014

One teenager was killed and another injured in a crash on Raymond Road, police said. A car sped past a Jackson police officer on patrol Friday night; it went airborne and crashed, authorities said. Keonna Redmond died at the scene, police said. Another teenager was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with unknown injuries. Police said the driver of the car ran from the scene. The car had been reported stolen, police said. Redmond's family and friends gathered Monday night to remember her. "I'm just waiting for some answers," said Keisha Redmond, Keonna's mother. "Until I get some answers to the situation, until then, I guess I could just feel a little better."
