WASHINGTON COUNTY, OK : A Collinsville teenager died on May, Thursday 4th 2017

A Collinsville teenager died Thursday morning in a Washington County crash.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Nikki Winton was driving a 1995 Honda Civic when her car veered off the road, hit a tree and ended up in a creek about a mile east of Vera.

Winton was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries.

According to OHP, the cause of the crash was unsafe speed.
