GREENE COUNTY, TN : Woman charged after 2-year-old injured in Greene County crash on Wednesday, 2nd August 2023

A woman has been charged after a 2-year-old girl was injured in a crash in Greene County Wednesday morning, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol.

According to THP, 25-year-old Bianca Lentz was charged with failure to exercise due care, improper child restraint, driving without insurance, and violation of open container law.

A THP report stated that Lentz was driving a 2020 Kia Soul on Interstate 81 southbound and failed to keep in the proper lane and struck a Ford F350 in the side. Both vehicles lost control. The Kia went through the median, over an embankment and came to rest on the northbound side of the interstate in a ditch.

The Ford ended up on the right side of the southbound lanes in a ditch.
