Washington, PA : Two girls and their parents were injured in a crash on May, Friday, 19th 2017

Two girls and their parents were injured early Friday when their vehicle struck a utility pole that then fell onto a house on Green Valley Road in North Strabane Township.

When North Strabane police arrived after getting the call about 3:30 a.m., they found the driver, Randy Winkleblech, 29, of 60 Carl Ave., Eighty Four, standing near the vehicle. His 29-year-old wife, Kristen Hill, and their two daughters were seated on the ground.

Winkleblech told police they were on their way home after picking up their children from his mother’s home in Monongahela. While driving on Green Valley, Winkleblech said a deer ran in front of his vehicle. When he swerved to miss it, he struck the utility pole.

North Strabane firefighters assisted at the scene. Utility crews removed the fallen pole and replaced it, restoring power to those in the area who had lost service as a result of the crash.

It was not immediately known what damage the fallen pole caused to the house. No information was available regarding the conditions of those injured.
