Berkeley Township, NJ : Blaze that killed 93-year-old woman ruled accidental on Wednesday, 22nd May 2019

A house fire that killed a 93-year-old woman in Berkeley Township was ruled as accidental, officials said Wednesday.

Emergency crews were called to the fire late Monday on Castle Harbor Drive in the town’s Holiday City section. Firefighters faced heavy fire coming from the back of the residence and discovered the woman inside, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

The woman, whose name was not released, died from smoke inhalation, according to the prosecutor’s office.
